Our team was tasked with constructing a sixteen-bedroom extension, to be attached to an existing care home. The project had a 26-week programme, and the time of year meant weather was likely to be an issue.
Despite inclement weather presenting challenges to the ground and brickwork, the project was completed on time. We were also pleased with the minimal defect list, agreed with the CA at the end of the twelve-month defect period.
With the current building situated on sloping ground, major excavations were required to maintain a consistent level across the build, successfully joining 16 new rooms (all with en-suite facilities) to the existing care home.
