The client expressed how delighted they were with the finished project.
An extension and alteration project at the Cumberland Care Home, which would see the development of two brand new wings and a number of new bedrooms.
The project provided six additional bedrooms complete with en-suite facilities, a day lounge, and an assisted bathroom to each wing.
The client expressed how delighted they were with the finished project, and commended the way that the site was run; in particular the consideration that we showed to the existing home throughout the project.
The construction of the two new wings was not straightforward, as they were at the rear of the existing building and only very narrow access was available. All large components and materials therefore had to be craned over the roof of the existing home.
One of the new wings had to have piled foundations rather than conventional strip foundations, due to tree roots that encroached on the adjacent ground.
